Part 2 - Boiling Springs & the Appalachian Trail

Children's Lake is very low currently, having been temporarily drained while structural improvements are made around the edges.

The Trail heads north from Boiling Springs Road

The A-on-T is the symbol of the Appalachian Trail.
The vertical white mark is the trail marker, showing which direction to go.

From the south end of the lake, the trail heads south into the woods. . .

. . . then into a corn field.

In addition to corn, we also saw wheat growing.
